Before I get to today’s featured startup, an update on one of the startups we featured a few months ago. In fact, the first startup we featured, Cyvore, a cybersecurity zero-day solution.
They have just come out of stealth and announced the completion of a $2.5M round (read about it here). They raised $1.5M since we featured them in late November.

Today’s startup features a life-saving, patented technology enabling quick endoscopic removal of tumors that would otherwise require open surgery or other high-risk removal methods.

Why now:
AI-powered flat polyp early detection is skyrocketing, giving rise to the need to remove them before they grow or become malignant.

Team highlights:

• Ofer Pillar, co-founder, board member, and lead investor, is a serial entrepreneur in the life-science space, including CByond, and Gyrus-ACMI (sold to Olympus for $2.1B).

• Eyal Ben-Esti, CEO, has years of R&D and business development experience in medical devices, and served as hardware development lead for a classified IDF intelligence unit.

• Adi Strauss, co-founder and CTO, is a serial entrepreneur with years of experience in Israeli industry leaders, including Mazor Robotics and Elbit Systems. 

• Clinical and scientific advisory board with world-renowned endoscopy experts. 

Traction:

• Product development is in its final stages. 

• In the pre-clinical stage before FDA submission and first-in-man clinical trials.
