I probably don’t need to convince you that the Israeli startup ecosystem is one of the best in the world. Consider just one data point - Israel is 98th in the world in population, and 4th in the world by number of unicorns. Factor in the fact that valuations are generally lower in Israel, and you get the highest potential startup investment hub in the world. By far.

But why now?

Israel is in the midst of its hardest, most challenging war since the war of 1948-49. The heartbreak Israelis are experiencing because of the growing number of casualties, and for the hostages still being held in the tunnels of Gaza is overwhelming. Israeli founders are often called for reserve military service (miluim), and when they aren’t, they are managing their startups while missiles are literally flying at them, and waves of ignorant, violent hatred are all around.

In a way, that is exactly the point. The amount of guts, resilience, innovation, and adaptability you will find in Israeli founders is out of this world.

Israel is winning this war, and the Israeli startup ecosystem is emerging stronger and better than ever. The time to invest in Israeli startups is now.

Chosen.Ventures is here to give investors and startup experts interested in the Israeli ecosystem a glance into - and a means to connect with - the best early-stage Israeli startups, one startup at a time.

We are and will remain a free service for our subscribers and the featured startups.

Each email we send our subscribers features one startup, in a quick two-minute-read, highlighting answers to the following questions:

1. Why now? What opportunity is the startup tackling?

2. What makes the team fit for success?

3. What is the company’s traction? In sales, R&D, partnerships, pilots, etc.

4. What is the startup’s competitive edge? Such as patents, access to unique data sets, strategic partnerships, etc.

5. Who are the startup's current investors and how much has been raised? (We only accept startups that have already raised capital from professional investors).

We’re sector agnostic and are after all early-stage Israeli startups, as long as they demonstrate exceptional potential and traction. Instead of sending weekly or monthly, we send an email each time we see a startup with real potential. That might happen a day after our last email, or only after a month.
